The guidebook has two major components: 1) a framework for designing "sheltered" content lessons and for determining which adaptations are necessary, and 2) instructional strategies targeting reading EALR's which are measured in the WASL. Both components will be presented. Strategies will be modeled.

The workshop format is interactive. Each teacher who attends will gain a copy of all the strategies and have an opportunity to see six strategies modeled by teachers who are implementing these strategies in their classrooms.
